Will My CV or Cover Letter Be Public?

When you use CVapp.ie to create your CV or cover letter, only you and the individuals you choose to share it with will have access to it. However, please note that our support team and engineers may also have access to your documents in order to assist you with resolving issues, collect data for development purposes, or answer any questions you may have about the app. If you delete your CV or cover letter, please be aware that it is permanently erased and cannot be retrieved or accessed again. How can I make my CV private?

If you share a URL of your CV, your CV is no longer private since anyone can technically copy and share that URL at any time. If you’ve shared a URL but now want to ensure your CV isn’t accessible through it anymore, the best solution is to create a duplicate copy of your CV, delete the original and share the new version with a different URL. This way, your CV will only be associated with a URL that hasn’t been shared before. 

Once you’ve deleted the original CV, the old URL will lead to an error page. Occasionally, we may ask you if you’d like to share your CV with our partners. We will always make it clear that this is an opt-in option and never use your data without your permission.
